Liebermann on Jeopardy!

Liebermann's music was featured on the popular Game show "Jeopardy!" aired on February 12th. In the Double Jeopardy! Round, under the category "Chamber Music" following questions about Bach, Schubert and Dvorak, contestant Mark Halpin, a scenic designer from Cold Spring, Kentucky, chose the $1000 question, which was also the Daily Double. Alex Trebek read the following: "A 1996 Sonata by Lowell Liebermann is for flute & this, also a popular pairing at weddings." Contestant Halpin responded correctly with "What is a harp?" We applaud the producers of Jeopardy! for their awareness of contemporary American music!
